Celebrate blue postcard

Celebrate blue! I created a postcard not using just one shade of blue, but different kinds of blues and mixed media. I knew that I wanted to add an image to this postcard. My choice is a Penny blossom digital image. I used finecolour markers to colour the image.

I adhered a page from a magazine to the base of the postcard (card board). Then I added a layer of acrylic paint to the base. I added dimension to this base using stencils and modelling paste.

Postcard recipe:
card board ~ recycled packaging 4x6"
page from magazine
folkart acrylic paint ~ blue ribbon
hobby line acrylic paint ~ cobalt blue
acrylic paint ~ light blue
tim holtz distress stain ~ weathered wood, broken china
digital image ~ penny blossom
finecolour markers
copic markers

ATC with a heart

I created the background by adding nupastel with my fingers randomly on the card stock. Then I randomly drawn lines on the base card stock. The heart is cut by hand out of card stock. To finish the base of my ATC I went through the borders of the ATC with a su marker. I finally stamped the back with an ATC rubber stamp with an orange ink pad to be used to write additional ATC information.

I wanted to add a contrast colour and I choose orange. So I painted the heart with orange acrylic paint. I distressed the border with black ink. I adhered the heart to the ATC back ground using foam tape for a nice 3-D effect;))

Adult colouring postcard #51

Using finecolour markers.

Kissing technique

I took a solid image stamp (vintage shoe) and inked it up with a very light color (ctmh exclusive inks ~ juniper), just as the swap described. I inked up the background or textured stamp with a darker ink, su stampin' pad ~ lost lagoon. After that I pressed both rubber stamps together; that is the kissing....LOL. I didn't rubbed them together, I easily pressed them together, gently kissing:)

I finally stamped the solid image stamp on the base, which is white card stock. And this ... is how my ATC turned out.

Ingredients:
card board
hema card stock ~ postcard
ctmh exclusive inks ~ baby pink

Handmade colouring book postcard

Not everyone has those fancy store bought colouring book postcards So here a chance to make my own. I printed the image on regular printer paper, cut it and adhered it on card board. Then I noticed that I cut too much of the printer paper. As a solution I added decomache at the bottom of the postcard. With that, the postcard has a nice look;) The greeting is a finishing touch on this handmade postcard:)) I like it!
